2026 ESPYS Scheduled for July 15 at Lincoln Center in New York

The 2026 ESPYS will take place on Wednesday, July 15, at 8 p.m. ET at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. Comedian Marcello Hernández will host the ceremony for the first time.

The event marks the first return of the ESPYS to New York since 2021. The 2025 edition was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Jalen Brunson leads the nominations among basketball figures. He is nominated for best athlete in men's sports, best championship performance, and best NBA player after leading the New York Knicks to the 2026 NBA title.
The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game Five of the Finals on June 13, securing their first championship since 1973. The team is also nominated for best team. Shohei Ohtani received nominations for best athlete in men's sports, best single-game performance, and best MLB player.
He won the best MLB player award in 2025 for the fifth straight year. A'ja Wilson and Mikaela Shiffrin are both nominated for best athlete in women's sports. Wilson captured WNBA regular season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP, and the scoring title in 2025.
Shiffrin became the first athlete to reach 100 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup victories. Myles Garrett is nominated for best NFL player and best record-breaking performance after setting the NFL single-season sack record with 23 sacks in 2025.
The show will air live on ABC and stream on ESPN+. It will be available the next day on Hulu, Disney+, the ESPN App, and ABC Video on Demand.
