Over 250 Migrants Launch from Belgian Beaches as Nearly 600 Reach UK Waters

At least 250 migrants launched in small boats from Belgian beaches on Saturday, while nearly 600 migrants from Belgium and France entered UK waters. This event increased the total number of migrant arrivals in the UK this year to more than 6,000, according to GB News.

Two Border Force vessels, Ranger and Volunteer, along with newly commissioned vessels Intrepid, Courageous, Contender, and Enterprise, intercepted the boats in the middle of the Channel.

GB News provisional figures indicate 585 migrants were taken to Dover harbor, bringing the year's total to 6,060. Winds increased in the Channel on Saturday evening and are expected to limit further small boat activity for the next few days.
