Before the attempt, the suspect sent his family an anti-Trump manifesto that called President Trump a 'rapist' and 'pedophile,' according to @DailyCaller. The arrest prevented any further escalation at the annual gala. President Trump attended the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
