Chicago Sky Complete Trade for Rickea Jackson After Angel Reese Deal

The Chicago Sky completed a trade with the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday, acquiring forward Rickea Jackson in exchange for guard Ariel Atkins. 4 rebounds per game for the Sky in the previous season. The trade marks the team's second significant roster move in a week.

Last week, the Sky traded forward Angel Reese to the Atlanta Dream. In return, Chicago received the Dream's first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2028. The Dream also has the option to swap second-round picks with the Sky in the 2028 WNBA Draft.

Reese was drafted by the Sky two seasons ago. 1 rebounds per game in her rookie season but faced injuries in her second year. The Sky finished with losing records in both seasons Reese played for the team.

Jackson, the No. 9 assists per game as a rookie for the Sparks. She joins a Sky roster that includes center Kamilla Cardoso, drafted third overall in 2024. The team also signed forward Azura Stevens, who previously played for Chicago, and guard Skylar Diggins-Smith, a seven-time All-Star.
