The gang used Rightmove and Google to plan dozens of break-ins. The men used Google to search for affluent postcodes to identify potential targets. The men browsed Rightmove to research floorplans of various properties.
The gang, originally from Albania, were linked to eight burglaries in Cheshire, two in Middlesbrough, nine in Derbyshire, two in Leicestershire, five in Nottinghamshire, seven in Staffordshire, two in Warwickshire, three in Birmingham, three in Worcestershire, two in Hereford, and one in Shropshire.
Endrit Nikolli and Sidorjan Lleshi stole designer watches, handbags, and cash. The gang broke into the properties and stole money, jewellery, and other valuables.
The gang typically broke into the homes through the first floor often using a ladder. The gang avoided triggering some burglar alarm systems which only covered downstairs floors. In CCTV footage, the gang were captured stealing an entire safe from one home.
The men ripped sheets off beds to use as makeshift bags to carry stolen items. Staffordshire Police recovered DNA from a burglary which was carried out in the same way. A shoeprint from the sole of trainers sold in Primark was found at several crime scenes.
Arrests and Seizures in Raids The suspects were arrested in a series of raids.
Officers seized goods including 13 designer handbags and 14 watches worth almost £17,000 in the raids. The gang were recorded in CCTV carrying out their raids. Kristian Gropcaj, aged 31, is from the West Midlands.
George Pepa, aged 31, is from the West Midlands. Krisjian Dedndreaj, aged 29, is from the West Midlands. Sidorjan Lleshi, aged 27, is from Sheffield. Endrit Nikolli, aged 27, will be sentenced at a later date.
Jade Tubb, of Walsall and partner of Endrit Nikolli, admitted conspiracy to possess criminal property. Jade Tubb was handed a 12-month sentence suspended for two years and was ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service.
Specific Sentences and Police Statements Sidorjan Lleshi was jailed for 10 years and nine months.
Kristian Gropcaj was jailed for 10 years. Krisjian Dedndreaj was jailed for nine years. George Pepa was jailed for nine years. The men were given prison sentences between nine years and 10 years and nine months.
