Denza Z9 GT Enters European Market The Denza Z9 GT, the opening salvo in Europe for Denza, BYD's premium EV brand, costs €115,000, roughly $134,000.

In Australia, the vehicle sells for £55,000, while in China it is priced at about £45,000. BYD provided 'market contextualization' as a reason for the price increase in Europe. The Z9 GT charged from 10 percent to full in just over 9 minutes.

The first car outside China to carry this new battery. Charging from 10 to 70 percent takes 5 minutes with BYD's Flash tech. Compared to 325 kW for Tesla Superchargers. A BYD spokesperson stated that the Flash system numbers are not the best it can manage and it is operating at two-thirds capacity in the EU.

The Flash system can potentially offer 30 percent more in the future, according to the spokesperson.

Performance and Maneuverability Features The Z9 GT puts out 1,140 bhp, with a 309 bhp motor on the front axle and twin 416 bhp motors on the rear axle.

7 seconds and has a top speed of 168 mph. The vehicle has independent rear wheels. The Z9 GT can crab-walk, U-turn on the spot, and performance park by driving in nose-first with the rear following.

9 tons and achieved close to 3 miles per kWh during a short test drive. The model has a 372-mile range. Stella Li, BYD's executive vice president, stated that the Z9 GT's 'wow factor' will stop the brand from experiencing the same residual value woes as Porsche.

Advanced Technology and Comfort The Z9 GT has L2+ autonomous driving and Lidar on the roof.

It includes massaging seats standard for rear passengers and a 1,100-watt, 20-speaker stereo system by Devialet. BYD is setting up 6,000 new charging locations globally outside China, with 600 charging sites coming to the UK in the first wave. Wired reported on the Denza Z9 GT's specifications and BYD's expansion plans.
