In the trailer, Bourdain loses out on a writing fellowship before landing a job at a small seafood restaurant. He works alongside Dimitri, played by Stavros Halkias; Sal, played by Leo Woodall; and Tyrone, played by Michael Jibrin. Their boss, restaurant owner Ciro portrayed by Antonio Banderas, pushes Tony to improve himself as they prepare plates of lobster, oysters, and more.
The trailer culminates with Ciro handing Tony a white chef's coat. " Tony asks. "That's for you," Ciro responds. 'Tony' is directed by Matt Johnson, with a script written by Johnson, Matthew Miller, Todd Bartels, and Lou Howe.
Additional cast members include Emilia Jones, Dagmara Dominczyk, Rich Sommer, Caroline Portu, and Monica Raymund. The film arrives in theaters in August 2026. Anthony Bourdain authored 'Kitchen Confidential' and served as a legendary 'Parts Unknown' culinary travel host on CNN.
He was also a former executive chef at Manhattan's Brasserie Les Halles and a Food Network personality. Bourdain died in June 2018 at age 61, leaving behind a daughter named Ariane Bourdain. In a separate film release, the first trailer for 'EVIL DEAD BURN' dropped recently.
The movie is scheduled for theaters on July 10.
