A video recorded Friday afternoon showed Aaron Donald completing an hour-long workout at the Los Angeles Rams practice facility in Woodland Hills. The session included ladder drills, medicine ball throws and agility work. The former three-time defensive player of the year appeared visibly fatigued by the end.
Workout details The footage differed from Donald's usual social media posts, which have shown training at private gyms rather than team facilities. The location prompted renewed discussion of a possible comeback. Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed the topic at an earlier press conference.
He said if Donald is interested, an opportunity exists and noted the respect between Donald and newly signed teammate Myles Garrett.
Comments from former teammate Ex-Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth said during an interview that he had recently spoken with Donald about returning. Whitworth stated Donald has expressed interest but that comfort with potential injury risk would be the deciding factor.
Whitworth added that only Donald can determine whether his body feels ready for football again. Donald retired after the 2023 season.
