Aaron Judge Awaits Imaging Results on Rib Stress Fracture as Yankees Hold 12-14 Record Without Him

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge said Wednesday he is awaiting another round of imaging on the stress fracture of his right rib before providing an update on his status, ESPN reported. Judge has not played since May 31. The Yankees placed him on the injured list June 5 after a CT scan, an MRI and a meeting with a specialist.

The team stated at the time that Judge would have limited activity before re-evaluation and additional imaging in four to six weeks. "I've got nothing for you," Judge said before the Yankees faced the Tigers. "You know how it goes around here -- guys can feel good, feel bad, but you've got to wait on images.

"There's no need to talk about this now," he added. 248 with 17 home runs and 38 RBIs this season. He had one home run in his final 18 games before the injury and ended an 11-game home run and RBI drought with a game-ending two-run homer on May 24 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Ryan McMahon, recovering from a throat infection, and Trent Grisham, recovering from a strained right hamstring, are expected to return for Friday's game against Minnesota, though McMahon was scratched from a minor league rehab game due to food poisoning.
