He also cited discussions with his wife, Brittani. "A lot of conversations with [head coach] Mike [McCarthy] and [owner] Omar [Khan] for a while, and then had a lot of conversations with my wife about it. After the draft, came to the conclusion that I wanted to play, I wanted to come back," he told reporters.
Rodgers first publicly mentioned his wife in December 2024. He announced in June 2025 that the couple had married a couple of months earlier. He has described her as someone who prefers to keep a private life.
Rodgers met his wife in 2017. He said she once remarked she would never live in Green Bay and did not want to be a player’s wife. In his first season with the Steelers, Rodgers threw for 3,322 yards and 24 touchdowns.
The team reached the playoffs.
