White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the speech will center on secure elections ahead of November. President Trump stated Tuesday that the address contains really big news and will cover additional topics. ABC News will run the address on its livestreaming platform and ABC News Radio.
NBC will stream the speech on its platforms and air a special report after it concludes. ABC News said its Special Report team stands ready to interrupt programming for live updates if significant developments occur. The address is expected to touch on previously unreported alleged Chinese meddling in U.S.
Elections. President Trump has repeatedly stated he won the White House three times and has called for legislation requiring photo identification and proof of citizenship for voter registration and at the ballot box. On Monday President Trump repeated claims of voter fraud in the Los Angeles primary race for mayor during a Newsmax interview.
Federal prosecutors said last month they were opening fraud investigations in California after Trump drew attention to the mayoral primary claim. Earlier this year FBI agents raided elections offices in Fulton County, Georgia, seizing materials from the 2020 election.
