The actor, 71, spoke to TMZ while in Washington, DC, for the release of his new film Young Washington. " The actor said the discussion focused on the placement of portraits inside the White House. "Mostly, it's just agreed that Washington should be over the fireplace," he stated.
He noted that he has considered public service in the past but said acting still provides benefits. "There's some real benefits to [being an actor]," he said.
The actor's support for the president has drawn attention before. In 2023, during promotion of the Frasier revival, a BBC interviewer said a public-relations team ended a question about that support.
