Stephen Amell posted a brief teaser for the Fox series on his Instagram account. The 12-episode season is scheduled to premiere in late January 2027.
Stephen Amell posted the first promotional video for an upcoming Baywatch reboot on his Instagram account on Saturday. The short clip shows quick shots of Amell as Captain Hobie Buchannon along with characters played by Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne and Jessica Belkin.
The teaser uses the tagline “same beach, new blood” and includes the red swimsuits and slow-motion running style of the original series.
A media conference call earlier this month included comments on the planned midseason launch. “We have a rich history and of launching series midseason,” a network executive said on the call.
“We just did it most recently with Best Medicine and Memory of a Killer and Doc before that. It goes all the way back to 24 and Empire and the 9-1-1s and The Resident.
Belkin plays Hobie’s daughter Charlie Vale.
Livvy Dunne portrays junior lifeguard Grace in her first professional acting role. Brooks Nader plays Selene, a Zuma Beach lifeguard and Hobie’s adversary. Additional cast members include Noah Beck, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Luke Eisner, Nadia Gray, Charlie McElveen, Ashley Moore, Kylar Miranda, David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak.
Matt Nix serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz. McG will direct the first episode.
