Actress Kaylee Hottle died after the vehicle she was riding in left the road and struck a culvert at 3 a.m. Tuesday on Windsor Road in Ijamsville, Maryland. A 19-year-old driver was operating a 1995 Honda Accord when the car traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway. Police said excessive speed contributed to the collision.
The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second passenger declined medical treatment. Hottle was transported to a trauma center and later pronounced dead at age 18. The crash remains under investigation.
Hottle appeared in the 2021 film "Godzilla vs.
Kong" and its 2024 sequel "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire." She was born in Georgia, grew up in Austin, and attended the Texas School for the Deaf. Her father, Joshua Hottle, said he learned of the crash while in Texas and was traveling to Maryland.
