AIPAC super PAC spends $865,000 on ads in Missouri House race

The amount exceeds spending by the center-left New Democrat Coalition's PAC and the candidate's own campaign. The opposing candidate's campaign has spent $30,000 on ads, and no outside groups have spent money in support of that candidate.

Primary context The same super PAC spent more than $9 million to defeat the same candidate in the 2024 primary. That candidate lost by roughly five percentage points. The candidate said voters in the district are upset about outside spending in the previous election. The candidate added that some residents have told the candidate they did not understand the influence of outside money at the time.

Outside group involvement A left-wing group that supported the candidate last cycle said it will do everything it can to help the candidate win the seat. A spokesperson for AIPAC did not respond to a request for comment. The primary is one month away.
