Air New Zealand operates daily flight NZ23 between Vancouver and Auckland using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The Business Premier cabin contains 26 seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. Passengers in this class receive an allowance of three checked bags up to 23 kilograms each and two carry-on items totaling 14 kilograms.

The airline's Airpoints loyalty program will transition to the Koru scheme beginning in April 2026.

The reviewed seat, numbered 2K, is described by the reviewer as resembling a space capsule interior. It offers storage compartments, adjustment controls, and converts to a fully lie-flat position with a mattress topper, quilted blanket, and pillow. A 24-inch entertainment screen is installed at each seat along with device charging points and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Passengers may connect personal headphones via Bluetooth and use a phone as a remote control.

Cabin crew provide assistance with bedding setup while allowing passengers to manage their own arrangements. Meals include a salmon caviar starter, choice of mains such as slow-cooked beef or spinach salad with chicken, and breakfast options served two hours before arrival.

The airline aims for carbon neutrality by 2050 through operational changes and new aircraft and fuel technologies. The reviewed flight departed on schedule and arrived ten minutes early. Fares for a Sydney-Auckland-Vancouver round-trip in this class start from approximately $10,000, with prices subject to change based on fuel costs and booking timing.

The reviewer traveled as a guest of the airline.
