Alaska Woman Shoots Bear After It Attacks Her Dog

An Alaska woman said she fired at a bear after it attacked one of her dogs, then shot again when the animal rose and continued toward her. Lori Price stated that the bear first mauled her dog before she used a weapon to stop the attack. She said the bear fell after the ersten shot but rose again, prompting a second round.
