Albanese Tells Hanson Not to Criticize Australia Overseas as She Attends CPAC in London

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Pauline Hanson should not talk Australia down while overseas. The Guardian reported that Hanson attended the CPAC conference in London after recording a podcast with Tommy Robinson. Albanese made the comments during a visit to Tiwi Island on Sunday.

Albanese stated that he talks Australia up when representing the nation abroad. He said there is nowhere he would rather be than Australia and that representatives should be proud of what the country has created. The comments came as Hanson appeared at conservative political events in Europe.

Independent Schools Australia launched a campaign today to increase government funding for private schools. The body will run digital advertising, billboards and bus posters in federal seats including Brisbane, Griffith, Melbourne, Mackellar, Wentworth, Curtin and Goldstein. The group argued that more parents choosing private schools warrants greater public support.

Albanese announced the official opening of Exercise Pitch Black 2026. The exercise will involve 100 aircraft and about 2,500 personnel from the Royal Australian Air Force and 20 countries over the next three weeks at RAAF Bases Darwin, Tindal and Amberley.

Participants include aircraft and personnel from the United States, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, India, Singapore, Germany, France, Spain, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, Brunei, Malaysia, Finland and Sweden.

A state funeral for Derryn Hinch will be held in Melbourne this afternoon. The Guardian reported that the longtime broadcaster died earlier this month at age 82.
