Crypto scammers based in Albania contacted French residents to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency investments, AFP reported. Jon, who worked at one such call center, said his role was to lure victims into the schemes. "My job was to lure them in," he said.
Jon added that he felt no hesitation about the work. "I don't see why I should have any qualms if people fall for it," he said. The report, published on or before June 5, 2026, described operations in which callers from Albania specifically targeted French victims.
