Albanian crypto scam call centres targeted victims across Europe, AFP reported. One operator who worked at a centre said he modelled himself on the Wolf of Wall Street and felt no remorse toward those who lost money. The operator earned €1,450 a month plus bonuses.
He now reports to court weekly on fraud charges that carry up to 10 years in prison. 5 million to the centres. One victim said she "wanted to blow her brains out" before her family intervened.
