Senate Ethics Committee Declines to Investigate Senator's Two Consensual Relationships

A report published July 16 alleges that Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego had sexual relationships with two congressional staffers who worked as aides to Texas Democrats while he served in the House. The relationships occurred during Gallego’s decade representing Phoenix in the House and took place while he was unmarried, according to the New York Post.

One source described the relationships as part of a broader pattern of mistakes and missteps and judgment calls.
