Allegiant Air Cuts 61 Routes and Seven Airports This Year
The airline trimmed service at Los Angeles, Oakland, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Norfolk, Columbia, Grand Forks and San Diego while adding 49 routes elsewhere.

Allegiant Air eliminated 61 routes and ended service at seven airports this year, according to an analysis of OAG schedule data by Simple Flying. The airline added 49 routes during the same period, producing a net reduction in its network. Simple Flying compared Allegiant’s published schedules for July 2025 and July 2026 to identify the changes.
The seven airports removed from the map are Los Angeles International, Oakland International, Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Norfolk International, Columbia Metropolitan, Grand Forks International and San Diego International. The first four of those airports accounted for 43 percent of the flights Allegiant cut, Simple Flying reported.
Three of the eliminated routes originated or terminated at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas: Grand Forks International in North Dakota, Chattanooga International in Tennessee and Mesa Gateway in Arizona. Allegiant has not operated flights at Reno-Tahoe International Airport since January 2024, so travelers using that airport for direct service are unaffected by the latest cuts.
