Amazon Now 30-minute delivery is available in urban areas of Brazil, Mexico, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States. Most residents of Atlanta and the Dallas-Fort Worth area now have access to Amazon Now. The service is live in Houston, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Orlando, Florida.
Amazon Now is expected to launch in dozens of other cities including New York by the end of 2026. This spring Amazon began offering 90,000 products available in one hour or three hours at an extra cost. The mini-warehouses devoted to Amazon Now are about the size of a CVS drugstore and measure 5,000 to 10,000 square feet.
Amazon Now microhubs stock about 3,500 products. Only a handful of people prepare orders in these facilities. Products stocked in Amazon Now hubs include beer, diapers, pet food, meat, nonprescription medications, playing cards and cellphone charging cables.
U.S. purchases via Amazon Now include soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, toilet plungers, bananas, limes and wireless earbuds. Amazon uses artificial intelligence and other technology to analyze what customers buy, as well as when and how often.
Amazon tailors the product inventory to each location. Beryl Tomay, Amazon’s head of transportation, told The Associated Press on Monday that customers love speed and purchase more from Amazon when faster speeds are offered. In India, Prime members tripled their requests for 30-minute deliveries once they started using Amazon Now.
