The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea announced a new initiative Monday to help Korean companies expand operations and investments in the United States. The four-day program in Washington, D.C., includes meetings with U.S. officials and lawmakers.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea said Monday it has launched a program called K-Doorknock to support Korean companies expanding business operations and investments in the United States. The initiative expands the chamber's annual Washington Doorknock program by creating a dedicated platform for Korean firms to meet directly with U.S. policymakers and business leaders.
The delegation includes senior executives from Hyundai Motor Group, LG Group, Dunamu, SoluM and Hangang Asset Management. Representatives from AMCHAM member companies Bayer, Corning, Novelis and Pfizer are also participating. The group will spend four days in Washington, D.C., from Monday through Thursday.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with officials from the Donald Trump administration and members of Congress to discuss expanding bilateral investment, strengthening regulatory cooperation and deepening economic ties, the chamber said. "As investment between our two countries continues to grow in both directions, AMCHAM is committed to supporting Korean companies expanding in the United States, just as we have long supported American companies doing business in Korea," AMCHAM Chairman James Kim said in a release.
