Amir Khan Enters Transfer Portal to Rejoin Will Wade at LSU, Which Lists Only Four Players

Amir Khan entered the transfer portal to rejoin Will Wade at LSU, ESPN reported. Khan told ESPN on Tuesday that he will serve as a student manager for one more year. Khan earned the nickname "Aura" during the 2025 NCAA men's basketball tournament while working under Wade at McNeese.

He attracted more than 20 NIL deals that exceeded six figures combined, took pictures with fans during games, and secured corporate sponsors including Buffalo Wild Wings. McNeese reached the second round of the tournament that year, and Khan gained nearly 100,000 Instagram followers. He was also featured in CBS' "One Shining Moment" production.

Khan followed Wade to NC State last year before returning to McNeese to remain as student manager during the 2025-26 season. Wade was fired from LSU four years ago following a recruiting scandal. LSU's current roster lists only four players on the Tigers' website.

"Beyond grateful for everything McNeese has done for me and it will always be home," Khan told ESPN.
