Analog Devices to Acquire Empower Semiconductor for $1.5 Billion
Analog Devices Inc. agreed to acquire Empower Semiconductor for $1.5 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026.

Empower, based in Milpitas, California, makes chips that the company says require less energy and lower operating costs for data centers. Analog Devices designs, manufactures, and markets chips used in industrial and communications equipment, consumer electronics, and cars.
77 percent this year, giving it a market value of $202 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
