Analyst Ranks 22 Quarterbacks for 2027 NFL Draft Class
ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid published rankings of 22 college quarterbacks expected to be eligible for the 2027 NFL draft. The group includes several players already on NFL teams' radar.
ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid released an early look at the 2027 NFL draft quarterback class on May 26, 2026. The preview profiles 22 college passers and includes detailed scouting notes on each prospect. Reid noted that the past two draft classes produced only two first-round quarterbacks each year. He wrote that the 2027 group is expected to be deeper at the position.
Reid placed Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Oregon quarterback Dante Moore among the leading names. He also highlighted NC State quarterback CJ Bailey, who threw for 3,105 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions as a sophomore. Bailey, listed at 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, turned 20 in May. Reid said Bailey needs to add mass and improve performance against ranked opponents.
Reid included Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby in the preview despite an eligibility question. Sorsby was ruled ineligible by the school and the NCAA after admitting to hundreds of sports bets. The analyst stated he will update the rankings after the 2026 college season.
