Anthropic is exploring a public listing that could value the company at close to $1 trillion, Benzinga reported. com and Alphabet’s Google. Jack Clark, a co-founder, spoke to BBC Newsnight this week and said policymakers should be able to slow AI development when systems become too powerful.
“You want the option to be able to take your foot off the gas and put your foot on the brake,” Clark said. ” Clark also described how AI systems are already writing most of the company’s software. “So 80% of the code that goes into Anthropic now comes from Claude,” he said.
The change has allowed engineers to produce roughly eight times more code than in previous years. Clark said it was “plausible” that AI-generated code could eventually account for all of Anthropic’s software development.
