Anthropic Hosts First Europe Developer Event in London

Anthropic hosted Code with Claude London on Tuesday as its first dedicated developer gathering in Europe. The event introduced sandboxes that allow companies to run agents on their own infrastructure and MCP tunnels that connect agents to internal systems without using the public internet.

Anthropic head of engineering Fiona Fung advised companies to start automation by examining their most expensive workflows.

She said firms should determine whether Claude can handle those tasks. He noted some team members still write code manually on weekends because they miss the process.

Anthropic cofounder Jack Clark spoke at Oxford University about AI safety and mental health uses. He said he had used Claude for personal discussions and was encouraged to seek professional therapy. Later this week Anthropic leaders including CEO Dario Amodei will attend an exclusive CEO forum for European executives in the English countryside.

The company has limited international release of its Mythos model outside primarily U.S. partners.
