Anthropic raised $65 billion in a Series H funding round at a $965 billion valuation. The round nearly tripled the company's valuation from three months earlier. The new capital came from Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, Sequoia Capital, and infrastructure partners including Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron.

Previously committed funding from hyperscalers, including $5 billion from Amazon, made up roughly $15 billion of the total.

The company reported run-rate revenue of $47 billion this month, up from $7 billion in calendar 2025. It released Claude Opus 4.8 and said the model is more likely to flag uncertainties. Anthropic also said it is making progress toward a wider release of its Mythos model in the coming weeks. The company stated the new funding will help meet demand for computing power.

Backers are positioning for a potential initial public offering as soon as this year. The company is preparing alongside rival OpenAI, which is expected to file its prospectus within weeks. Anthropic remains in a legal dispute with the Department of Defense over military use of its technology.

The company said the dispute has not affected its financial progress. Anthropic has also signed long-term agreements with Google, Broadcom, and Amazon potentially worth hundreds of billions of dollars.
