Apple is working on a revamped version of its entry-level MacBook Pro that could launch as soon as the first half of 2027. The model will retain the 14-inch screen size and adopt a design aligned with upcoming touch-screen MacBooks. The company is also testing four new iPad Pro models set to launch in the spring.
These tablets will keep the existing 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes and focus on internal improvements. Apple last updated the base MacBook Pro in October with an M5 chip. It finished work months ago on a separate base MacBook Pro upgrade that keeps the current design and is scheduled to launch in 2026.
