Argentina and Switzerland meet in a FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinal on July 11 at 9 p.m. ET at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The match airs on FOX in English and Telemundo in Spanish.

Argentina enters after a 3-2 round-of-16 win over Egypt in which it trailed 2-0 before scoring three unanswered goals. Lionel Messi scored the equalizer and Enzo Fernández netted the winner two minutes into stoppage time. The team also defeated Cape Verde 3-2 in the round of 32 and won its group-stage matches 3-0 against Algeria, 2-0 against Austria and 3-1 against Jordan.

Switzerland advanced with a 4-3 penalty-shootout victory over Colombia in the round of 16 after a 0-0 draw through extra time. It defeated Algeria 2-0 in the round of 32 and recorded group-stage results of a 1-1 draw with Qatar, a 4-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina and a 2-1 win over Canada.

Coach Lionel Scaloni said the team would start with a “very similar team” to the match against Egypt. Switzerland's predicted lineup is Gregor Kobel; Denis Zakaria, Nico Elvedi, Manuel Akanji, Rodriguez; Remo Freuler, Granit Xhaka; Rubén Vargas, Fabian Rieder, Dan Ndoye; Breel Embolo.

Johan Manzambi is out with a knee injury and Luca Jaquez is out with a muscle injury, while Michel Aebischer is doubtful.
