Argentina Records 713 Antisemitic Incidents in 2025, Up 3.78 Percent but Declining After October Ceasefire

Argentina recorded 713 antisemitic incidents in 2025, a 3.78 percent increase from 687 cases the previous year, according to an annual report released by the Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations. The total equates to roughly two incidents per day. Sixty-two percent of the incidents took place online, and 90 percent of those appeared on social media platforms.

Forty-eight attacks occurred in public streets and areas. The trend throughout 2025 was strongly influenced by international events tied to the conflict in the Middle East. Recorded incidents declined beginning in October after a ceasefire and the return of hostages taken on October 7.

"The numbers warn us about persistent challenges and emerging threats," said Mauro Berenstein, president of DAIA. " Víctor Garelik, executive director of DAIA, said Argentina's hosting of plenary sessions of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance in 2026 gives the fight against antisemitism exceptional importance at the state level.

He added that 10,600 teachers enrolled in educational content designed by DAIA under an agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Nation.
