Troops built a seven-float raft to move M1 Abrams tanks across Lake Belton. The 43rd Multi-Role Bridge Company led the construction under Capt. Bruce Burgener, who said the configuration is required to support the tanks. Lt. Col. Travis Shahan said air assets were used to drop bridge sections into the water.
Maj. Salem Maud noted that the tactical command center provided maps so every soldier could understand the plan.
