Artist Paints 9-by-17-Foot American Flag at D.C. State Fair
Scott LoBaido is creating the oil-on-canvas work at the Made in America Pavilion. He said the flag belongs to everyone and plans to finish it on Independence Day.

Scott LoBaido is painting a 9-by-17-foot oil-on-canvas American flag at the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C. Fox News reported that the work is underway at the Made in America Pavilion. LoBaido stated that the flag does not belong to any particular party.
"I am a political person, but that’s irrelevant from this. This flag is for everybody," he said. He added that some on the left run away from the flag because they view it as a MAGA symbol. LoBaido argued that the flag grants the freedom to protest and should remain prominent.
"That American flag that men and women still die for is giving you the freedom to be whatever you want, and do whatever you want – protest whatever you want," LoBaido said. " LoBaido said he believes the piece is the largest American flag created with oils on canvas. He plans to add final touches on Independence Day.
Fox News reported that LoBaido has given a big portion of proceeds from his work to charity and that President Trump already owns several of his paintings.
