Asda introduced a fuel discount through its Rewards app on Monday, July 13. Shoppers who spend £40 or more in a single in-store transaction receive a 5p per litre coupon, GB News reported. The spending requirement runs until July 31.
Coupons earned by that date can be redeemed on one fuel purchase until Friday, August 7. The offer covers 321 Asda stores and Asda Express locations that sell Asda-branded fuel. The coupon appears automatically in the app after the qualifying purchase.
Drivers redeem it by scanning the Asda Rewards barcode and coupon at the pump or kiosk. A standard 60-litre fill yields savings of up to £3. Rachel Eyre, chief customer officer at Asda, said the program makes Asda Rewards more rewarding.
She added that Asda seeks new ways to help families save and that the Grocery and Fuel Bonus lets customers unlock fuel savings with their weekly shop. Asda plans to extend the Rewards fuel offer to more locations and to continue the bonus past the August deadline. The company recently added more personalised Missions to the Rewards scheme.
