The Atlanta Dream returned to the No. 1 position in ESPN's WNBA Power Rankings after the New York Liberty lost ground and the Washington Mystics posted three straight victories. The Mystics, the league's youngest roster with an average age of 23.4, defeated a team they had not beaten since 2023 during the streak. Their wins came entirely on the road.
Atlanta improved to 12-4 after consecutive victories over Indiana and a win against Toronto. Guards Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray combined for 117 points across those games, while forward Angel Reese recorded 28 rebounds and guard Jordin Canada tallied 30 assists.
