August 2026 SSI Payments Scheduled for July 31

Washington Examiner reported that August 2026 Supplemental Security Income payments will be sent to recipients on July 31. The payments normally arrive on the first day of each month, but shift to the last business day of the prior month when the first falls on a weekend or federal holiday. August 1, 2026, is a Saturday.
The maximum payment reaches $994 for an individual. A couple filing jointly can receive up to $1,491, while an essential caregiver of an SSI recipient qualifies for as much as $498. The amount varies based on the number of people filing.
The program supports people who are blind, age 65 or older, or have a qualifying disability and limited income. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or noncitizens in an alien classification approved by the Department of Homeland Security.
They must also reside in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, or the Northern Mariana Islands. Recipients cannot be absent from the United States for a full calendar month or for 30 consecutive days. A full payment calendar appears on the Social Security Administration website.
