Aurora plans to launch second-generation hardware in the coming weeks and begin operating trucks with no observer in the cab. Chris Urmson, Aurora's chief executive, described the change during an interview with Jon Fortt on CNBC. S.

Public roads. Urmson traced the company's progress from daytime Dallas-Houston runs to round-the-clock customer-endpoint operations. Aurora is currently hauling berries for Driscoll's with Hirschbach from Laredo to Dallas.

Urmson said the scaling phase for Aurora has begun.
