Austin Riley, Drake Baldwin power Braves to 8-5 win over Rangers
Austin Riley and Drake Baldwin each hit two home runs as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Texas Rangers 8-5 on Sunday. The Braves scored in each of the first four innings and added three more runs in the seventh.

Austin Riley went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs while Drake Baldwin went 5-for-5 with two home runs to lead the Atlanta Braves to an 8-5 win over the visiting Texas Rangers on Sunday. Riley hit his 11th and 12th home runs of the season, including a 416-foot drive in the second inning and a 413-foot shot in the fourth.
He also delivered a two-run bases-loaded single in the seventh inning. Baldwin recorded his 17th and 18th home runs with solo shots in the third and eighth innings. He finished the three-game series 10-for-14 with three home runs and eight RBIs.
The Braves scored a run in each of the first four innings to build a 4-0 lead. Grant Holmes pitched five innings for the win, allowing three runs on seven hits. The Rangers scored three runs in the fifth inning on Wyatt Langford's RBI double, Josh Jung's sacrifice fly and Jake Burger's RBI single.
They added another run in the eighth and Langford hit his 10th home run in the ninth. Atlanta added three insurance runs in the seventh inning after Texas infield errors set up Riley's two-run single and Brewer Hicklen's RBI double.
The Braves collected 14 hits and have now scored at least five runs in nine consecutive home games. Matt Olson, Michael Harris II and Hicklen each had two hits. Texas starter Nathan Eovaldi allowed four runs on six hits in four innings. Langford has homered in four of his last 10 games.
