Australia defeated Pakistan by 41 runs in the second one-day international at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, leveling the series at one match each. The visitors reached 231 after being sent in, then restricted the hosts to 190 in 44 overs. Nathan Ellis took 4 for 33 in nine overs on a surface favoring spin.

He removed two early wickets and returned to dismiss Arafat Minhas lbw for 33, breaking a 59-run stand between Minhas and Shadab Khan.

Shadab Khan made 71 before being stumped off a wide, the last man out. Spinners Matt Short, Matt Kuhnemann, Adam Zampa and Tanveer Sangha took seven wickets between them. The third and deciding match is scheduled for tomorrow night in Lahore.
