The probe began in February after a tip from the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security Investigations. Officers searched a Caloundra residence on April 1 and seized multiple electronic devices. Forensic examination of the devices is continuing. Police stated they are working with overseas partners to identify victims and the alleged facilitator and to ensure the children are removed from harm.
The man was granted bail at Caloundra Magistrates Court.
His next court date is August 13. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted.
