Author Describes Recent Visits to Book Festival and Art Museum

Mark Judge reported attending the Gaithersburg Book Festival, describing it as one of the premier book festivals in America. He interviewed author Keith O’Brien about the book Heartland, which covers Larry Bird’s early life in French Lick, Indiana. Judge also visited Glenstone, a museum located about 20 miles outside Washington, D.C., in Potomac, Maryland.

The museum features modern art by artists including Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Andy Warhol, with a current exhibit titled “Ties of Our Common Kindred” that opened February 12, 2026.

Judge stated he is hosting an Anti-Communist Film Festival this year as an annual event for freedom-loving young filmmakers. He noted that art appears in many everyday forms such as comic books, video games, and church murals. Judge referenced past controversies involving artist Andres Serrano and the art collection of former DNC officials Tony and John Podesta.

Judge said average Americans understand and appreciate beautiful art and can curate their own selections through platforms including X.
