AWOL Aetherion Pro Ultra-Short-Throw Projector Reaches Retail Availability
AWOL Vision has moved its Aetherion Pro projector from Kickstarter to commercial sales at $3,499. The 4K laser model supports multiple HDR formats and projects up to 200 inches.
ForbesAWOL Vision announced that its Aetherion Pro ultra-short-throw laser projector is now available for retail purchase after completing its Kickstarter campaign. The Florida-headquartered company said the model reached 7,050 backers and became the most funded projector project on the platform. Retail buyers can now purchase the unit immediately for $3,499 or £2,449.
The projector delivers 4K UHD resolution, a native contrast ratio of 6,000:1, and supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10/HDR10+, and HLG formats. It uses a DLP chip with anti-RBE technology to reduce rainbow artifacts and produces 2,600 lumens.
When placed against a wall, the unit can create a 200-inch image at 57 centimeters, a 100-inch image at 15.8 centimeters, or an 80-inch image when flush to the surface. It includes a laser light engine, Wi-Fi 7, and Google TV for streaming. A higher-brightness Aetherion Max variant is also offered at $4,499 with 3,300 lumens.
The company also introduced the Valerion Max Theater Package, which pairs its flagship home-cinema projector offering 3,500 lumens and speckle reduction. Inflatable outdoor projection screens branded Valerion are scheduled for July release ahead of the soccer World Cup, with setup times listed at approximately 10 minutes.
