Ayo Dosunmu Agrees to Five-Year, $112 Million Deal with Timberwolves
Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu reached agreement on a five-year, $112 million deal to stay with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The contract includes a player option in the fifth season and was finalized Monday night.

Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu intends to sign a five-year, $112 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a player option in the fifth season. The agreement was reached Monday night. The Timberwolves traded three-time All-Star forward Julius Randle to the Brooklyn Nets earlier the same evening.
They made signing Dosunmu to a long-term deal a priority after his postseason performance. Dosunmu arrived from the Chicago Bulls in February. Minnesota sent four second-round picks and former lottery pick Rob Dillingham in that trade.
Dosunmu averaged 15.6 points in 29.2 minutes over a 10-game playoff run. He scored 43 points off the bench in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets on the night Donte DiVincenzo suffered a torn right Achilles. Dosunmu missed Game 6 against the Nuggets and Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs due to right calf tightness.
He returned in the second round and averaged 9.4 points on 36 percent shooting in five games against the Spurs. Dosunmu gained chemistry with guard Anthony Edwards after arriving in February. His agents are Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management.
