The BbcDogs at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home continue to use a garden designed by Monty Don for the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The exhibit was moved across the river on trolleys after the event and was opened in July 2025.
The garden provides a shaded area for dogs to run and space for behavioral assessments with potential adopters. Changes since opening include removal of toxic plants and adjustments to the pond. Nathalie Ingham, canine behaviourist and training manager at Battersea, said the space is important because central London is heavily concreted and AstroTurfed.
Dawn Richards, Battersea's lead horticulturalist, maintains the garden with volunteers. She said the garden will evolve each year to meet operational needs. Monty Don will lead BBC Two evening coverage of this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He has stated he has no plans to design another garden for anyone other than himself.
