Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited Kyiv on Monday as Ukrainian authorities cleared debris from Russia's largest missile attack of the year. The attack killed two people and wounded at least 91 others, according to Kyiv City Administration head Tymur Tkachenko. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha led ambassadors from more than 70 countries to strike sites on Monday.

Foreign Ministry said Monday that further "systemic strikes" on Kyiv are planned and urged foreign citizens to leave the city. The ministry cited a Ukrainian drone strike on a dormitory in Starobilsk as the reason for the escalation. French President Emmanuel Macron spoke by phone with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Sunday about the war in Ukraine.

It was their first call since Russia's February 2022 invasion.

Tsikhanouskaya told The Associated Press that Belarusian authorities continue hybrid attacks and nuclear threats instead of improving ties with the European Union. She spoke during her first visit to Kyiv. Russia and Belarus conducted joint nuclear drills last week.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Belarus could serve as a launchpad for a new northern front. A Russian missile struck a business in Derhachi on Monday, killing two people and wounding 19 others, according to Kharkiv regional administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

Russia's Federal Security Service reported finding magnetic mines on a tanker in the Baltic port of Ust-Luga.
