Ben Shapiro posted on X on Thursday that Vice President JD Vance sounded like leading Democrats during an appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast. Shapiro wrote that he heard Bernie Sanders' economics, Barack Obama's foreign policy, and Ro Khanna's conspiracy theories before realizing Vance was the speaker. Shapiro added that he wants a 2028 candidate who does not mirror the Democrats and who can win.
He addressed the vice president directly in the post, writing, "Mr. " The Hill reported that Vance sat for a nearly three-hour interview with Rogan on Wednesday. It was Vance's second appearance on the podcast; the first occurred one week before the 2024 presidential election.
Rogan and Vance discussed files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the war with Iran, and offensive comments from a UFC fighter about former first lady Michelle Obama. -Iran deal and were manipulating American public opinion to keep the war going indefinitely.
Vance is viewed as one of the top potential 2028 Republican presidential candidates alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In a podcast released last month, President Trump said he liked both men and suggested they could run together on a joint ticket. The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.
