Bethenny Frankel discussed her co-parenting relationship with ex-husband Jason Hoppy on Tuesday's episode of the "Aspire" podcast. Frankel, 55, and Hoppy, 54, were married from 2010 to 2012 and share a daughter, Bryn Hoppy, who is 16. "I want to be in a successful relationship for myself and my daughter because we're rolling very light and it comes up during holidays," Frankel said.

She added that personal matters within Bryn's family dynamic have prompted her to seek a stronger community structure for the teenager.

Frankel and Hoppy reached a custody settlement in 2014. Their divorce was finalized in 2021 after a judge ruled Frankel would not pay child support because Bryn lived primarily with her. In 2017, Hoppy was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment, harassment, and stalking. He denied the charges. Frankel stated she avoids speaking negatively about Hoppy in front of Bryn.

Bryn moved to Florida.

Frankel described the relocation as the healthiest choice for their family at the time. "Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest for myself and my daughter," she said in an Instagram video. Frankel also said she wants to maintain work that allows her to connect with an audience while building a family unit.
