Elfman is best known for his work on Tim Burton films including 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'Corpse Bride'. The series follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, who must restore reality after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally causing a multiverse Armageddon.
Stuart Bloom is aided by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert and quantum physicist Barry Kripke.
Along the way, the characters meet alternate-universe versions of 'The Big Bang Theory' characters. The show was originally announced as being in development in April 2023. It is co-created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady.
The series is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Chuck Lorre is under an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. Lorre, Penn and Prady serve as executive producers.
The original 'The Big Bang Theory' ran for 12 seasons on CBS. The prequel 'Young Sheldon' wrapped up its seven-season run on CBS in May 2024.
The spinoff 'Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage', starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, debuted on CBS in October 2024.
